Proline
Proline- A non-essential amino acid that is synthesized from GLUTAMIC ACID. It is an essential component of COLLAGEN and is important for proper functioning of joints and tendons
Scientists at the University of Chicago have discovered a proline-binding site on the Lp(a) cholesterol molecule that Linus Pauling has associated with heart disease.
Pauling's associate Matthias Rath recommends taking proline supplements to inactivate Lp(a) in the blood, i.e. proline is an Lp(a) binding inhibitor.
